Rental Car Insurance

Are you looking for information about Rental Car Insurance? Then you have come to the right place! This page will be immensely helpful, if you want to know various unknown facts of Rental Car Insurance.

When you sign a Rental Car Insurance, you agree that you are personally responsible for the following factors like:

Loss of revenues to the rental agency since the car you rented is unavailable for the purpose of renting while being repaired, whether or not you are at fault.
Damage to the rental car includes events like fire, theft, accidents, towing and road hazards, regardless of whether or not you are at fault.

Injuries or property damage you cause to others while operating the rental car in the driver’s seat.

But at the same time you should well aware of the fact that your personal auto policy may or may not cover all risks related to car rentals. So before you rent a car carefully check out the following factors like:

Firstly, check with your Insurance and Credit Card Company prior to renting to determine coverage under your existing personal auto policy.

Secondly, if you don't have auto insurance, or not sufficient coverage, then you will need to buy coverage at the car rental counter.

Depending on your type of Rental Car Insurance, most auto insurers cover the occasional use of a rental car up to your liability limit for accidents or injuries and property damage that you cause to others as a driver. If you already have collision and comprehensive coverage, then you have some extra advantages; for example, some insurers extend coverage for damage you cause to the rental car, subject to your policy deductible. On the other hand, some insurers do not extend collision and comprehensive coverage to rental cars. For this reason, it is best to check with your company prior to renting a car.
